Farmhouse - Long Term Project
The project involves developing a 5 acre field behind the farmhouse into a natural scottish landscape. This project will be ongoing over many years.
Long term landscaping project creating an abundance of greenery to be enjoyed for generations to come. A pond, stream, wild flower meadow and bluebell wood will be created over the next 5 years. Relatively mature plants such as Beech, Oak, Sycamore, Norway Maple, Scots Pine, and Larch were planted in clusters on the 5 acre field in front of the farmhouse.
Firstly we have created a large pond using water from a natural stream which flows onto the field. The overflow has been redirected back into the stream.
Large steps were constructed from railway sleepers to give access to the pond from the farmhouse.
Clumps of native broadleaved trees and conifers were planted, and also a wild flower area.
